Beautiful Gardens And Outdoor Spaces In Dubai
Many visitors and newcomers/residents to Dubai are surprised by the number of parks and green spaces to explore throughout the city – most of which are free or available at very reasonable prices and are extremely family-friendly. Here’s a round-up of all our favourite parks and outdoor spots in Dubai, plus entrance fees and any additional family-friendly amenities you can find. Several parks in the city are managed by the Dubai Authority and there is a small introductory fee for their maintenance and upkeep that needs to be paid onto the RTA Nol card.
- Al Barari Playground
This stunning new natural space in Dubai has evolved from a hidden gem to a local favourite. Known for its playground and relaxing environment, children can explore water climbing, giant swings on pirate ships, and even the vegetable garden, all in the lush surroundings of the luxurious Al Barari estate. Parents love the Hideout Lounge, where you can have a drink while the kids play, and if you fancy a bite to eat, ice cream, burgers, and shawarma are available. Pre-registration for this luxurious natural playground is essential, especially on weekends.

- Bay Avenue Park
Bay Avenue Park brings some greenery to the concrete jungle of the Business Bay Area and features two outdoor gyms, a skate park, a trampoline area, and lots of lawns where you can spread out a picnic blanket, as well as the obligatory playground equipment, mostly in the shade. The nearby Spinneys supermarket is great for a snack, and the park often hosts farmers’ markets and yoga classes.

- Dubai Creek Park
Located on the western bank of Dubai Creek, this is one of the largest open spaces in the city with many other amenities and entertainment to enjoy. It’s a popular spot for picnics and barbecues, as well as a large botanical garden, miniature golf, and a go-kart track. There are several children’s playgrounds scattered throughout the park. Other attractions in the park include the Dolphinarium and the Children’s City, an educational and scientific centre including a planetarium. During the winter, the Creek Cable Cars run through the park daily (summer evenings only).

- Dubai Garden Glow & Dinosaur Park
A seasonal event is held at Zabeel Park during the winter months when dinosaurs come to life as the park is lit up with colourful neon lights each night. A more expensive night than most of our parks, but certainly entertaining for a special treat and one of the best park experiences we recommend to our guests. The dinosaurs are very realistic so be careful with big children as they may get scared.

- Dubai Hills Park
One of the most amazing new community parks in Dubai. This modern multipurpose park is located in the Dubai Hills Estate. With 1,800 trees, it brings fresh green to the suburbs; Open to all, you will find a wide range of playgrounds and sports fields for all ages.

- Dubai Miracle Garden
The largest flower garden in the world of flower areas is just outside the city. Follow a magical maze of paths between floral creations and topiary art, cartoon characters, creatures, and famous locations transformed into floral arrangements. The centrepiece of the park is the amazingly decorated Emirates A380 aircraft. The garden offers many dining options, nice swings and play areas, and relaxing swings. Enjoy great family photos, but arrive early to avoid crowds and the heat.

- Jumeirah Beach Park
Another recently renovated park in Dubai, with beautifully manicured gardens, meets the beach in the Jumeirah district. There are many picnic areas, as well as barbecue grills and children’s playgrounds.

Hours: Sunday to Wednesday 8th from 00:00 to 22:00. Thursday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday & Wednesday.
- Love Lake Dubai
One of the unique parks in Dubai, you will find this beautiful spot in Dubai really buried deep in the desert! Well worth a visit, you will be rewarded with a beautiful walking/running trail that runs along the artificial Lakes of Love in Al Qudra, Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve. Pack a picnic or use the designated BBQ areas. Check out the park’s many exceptional features and enjoy the tranquillity of this eco-conscious destination.

- Zabeel Park
Dubai Garden Glow & Dinosaur Park, which we mentioned above, this 52-acre park also has wide walking paths, barbecue areas, children’s playgrounds, and shaded playgrounds. There are plenty of additional entertainment options for the whole family, including decorative boat rentals on the lake, bike rentals, and restaurants.

- Al Barsha Park
Beautifully maintained 52-hectare park surrounding a large artificial pond. You can rent pedalos or solar-powered boats on the water, as well as go-karts, bikes, and electric scooters for getting around the park. There are two park areas suitable for toddlers and older children, as well as several grassy picnic areas and a running track.
